Hydrocephlous .

Hydrocephlous .

Hydrocephlous is a neurological disorder caused by an abnormal build up of cerebrospinal fluid in the ventricles deep within the brain. This excess fluid causes the ventricles to widen, putting harmful pressure on brains tissues.

To relieve this conventional V.P. shunt surgery or newer advanced programmable shunt surgery can done.

Programmable shunt has a magnetic externally adjustable valve that provides the option of changing the opening pressure (valve setting) to regulate the outflow of cerebrospinal fluid.
